New Furnaces in So Cal

Out with the old, in with the new.

As of October 1st, 2019, SCAQMD is requiring most of Southern California to use a new, low emissions, furnace. These new Ultra Low NOX furnaces work differently than the old furnaces. As you may be able to tell, from the type of furnace, they produce lower emissions and are better for the air quality in So Cal. If you are wondering, yes the systems cost more due to the required mechanical changes.

What does that mean for the homeowner, do you have to replace your furnace now? No, you don't have to change your furnace, if it is still working properly and not creating high energy bills. These systems are only required for those customers that are needing to replace their old, outdated, broken furnaces. We would be happy to go into further details if you have additional questions... give us a call.
